Bet there were some thinking "What's Joni Mitchell got to do with it?"

So far as misattribution and shameless rip offs of other people's work goes, Jimmy Page has no equal. This is pretty funny:

Just listen to the Spirit clip and you'll gasp at the guy's sheer barefaced effrontery.

great link on page! thank you for sharing. i read hammer of the gods, and led zeppelin come across as some of the most despicable people in the music business that i've read about.

“Usually my riffs are pretty damn original. [laughs] What can I say?” WHAT AN ASSHOLE!

Exit, stage right? Seriously--no earthquake issues, flooding or what have you in your neighborhood? Just checking...don't have time for renewing my poetic license.

That's OK, you could just copy and paste. It's legit. Very post-modern.

No natural disasters lately, knock on wood. Just the usual manmade kind. They're building another story on the house catty-corner to us; the wall collapsed yesterday, showering bricks hither and yon. (That's poetic.) In the States: lawsuit. Here: shrug and pick up the bricks. Wouldn't want to be there in an earthquake, though. Or maybe even if someone sneezes.

My bad; thought something along the natural disaster spectrum happened in your neck of the woods...

Well, we're in between Turkey (earthquake) and Thailand (flooding), and I'm probably missing something else. Your neck of the wood just gets heat waves. (But not sure how you tell them from the normal heat ...)

Jimmy Page was the second choice. Jeff Beck turned Led Zeppelin down (and the Stones too).

Not much originality in that band, I have to say.

Thankfully, I have never fallen to such depths of depravity.
